Fits Air's second Cessna 208b caravan 4R-EXP flew today on first flight to the South of Ratmalana this morning probably on flight test. ATR still operates, these few days it was based at Ratmalana, but now its parked at Katunayake on apron Delta.

SriLankan Airlines has been voted among Best International Airlines in the popular and influential CondeNast Traveller 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Sri Lanka’s national carrier was placed sixth in the survey in which Singapore Airlines came on top followed by Emirates and Qatar Airways.

The CondeNast said SriLankan has built a strong following among fliers who appreciate its comfy business class seats, attentive cabin crew and flavourful in-flight meals.

“It’s a top choice for travellers headed not only to the island nation it calls home, but to destinations in the region like the Maldives, where it’s the largest foreign airline. With a fleet of 26 planes, it’s not huge, but more passengers are discovering it, thanks to its membership in the Oneworld alliance,” the magazine added.

It said with 2021 expected to be the year of the comeback for long-distance international travel, readers’ choice of airline will be more crucial than ever.

According to Asela this aircraft was in operation for Thomas Cook
I too agree that this is definitely a good move with the huge potential for Cargo Capacity and Demand in the region... Fits Air missed out on quite a bit of the demand when they returned their MD82 back after lease expiry

I feel they should paint this in Fits Air colors and probably may surprise all of us with a new livery because in my opinion their current Cessna/ATR livery is a bit too basic

I saw the picture of Fitsair A321. Really disappointing the aircraft doesn't have large cargo deck door. It seems the seats have been removed from the passenger aircraft for cargo operations? What a waste ! Fitsair would've leased the dedicated cargo aircraft.
