      • Guys, learnt from the SG booking engine that they have changed the aircraft they make use of for the MAA - CMB service from Boeing to Q400 effective May 1. Could anybody confirm it in CMB airport?

        • The lease arrangement of DHC 6-300s with a Kenn Borek is to expire in around four months and the SriLankan will terminate operations of sea planes then. The move is aimed at minimizing the losses the national carrier is continually incurring.

                  I was wondering why new flight numbers are now showing on Spicejet's MAA-CMB schedule ? E.g. SG3102 & SG12.

At present, Srilankan Airlines operates to five European countries. There is a massive increase in travellers from Colombo to London and London to Toronto and back. Therefore, moves will be taken to cater to the potential market. More facilities will be included together with deploying modern flights aiming to cater to this market potential, the minister noted.
