SriLankan Airlines to wetlease 3 x New A330-300s to PIA

Sri Lanka's debt-ridden national carrier, SriLankan Airlines is planning to re-lease three aircraft of it's fleet, according to SriLankan Airlines.
An official of the airline has said that the management is in talks to wetlease three of the A330-300s aircraft to the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) as a part of the restructuring of the airline by the Ministry of Public Enterprice and Development.

According to the official, some top management at the airline has recently met with PIA officials in Pakistan. As per reliable sources registration of the three of the A330-300s going to be leased to PIA are 4R-ALL, 4R-ALM and 4R-ALN
Over the next few months, the national carrier is scheduled to go through a major restructuring process that is expected to pave the way to implement a sustainable business model.
This week the Ministry through media advertisements called for Request for Proposal (RFP)'s to select a financial advisor to restructure the national carrier.
